This photo was taken during a
snowstorm in downtown Lewiston in a place called Kennedy Park. The wind was
whipping the snow about so much that I held a clear plastic baggie over my
camera lens to protect it from the moisture. I believe it gave the photo a softer
effect, and I like this picture because of the placement of the subjects and the
color of the flag in a relatively black and white photo. |

This picture was taken in downtown
Lewiston and it is the iron railing of a footbridge that crosses the canal. I
like the shadows cast by the iron dots, and I think the photo has an interesting
perspective. |

There's
a bridge that runs over the railroad track in a once bustling industrial part of
downtown, that is now part of my neighborhood. I have passed this scene many
times without stopping to photograph it. I was waiting for a night scene with
the full moon hanging overtop of the old building. I still haven't seen that
yet, so I decided to take the photo with an infrared effect. |
Another photo taken in downtown Lewiston
during a snowstorm. Snow happens to fall a lot here in the Great White North, so
it is necessary to incorporate it into one's art. |

This is a photo of the trestle bridge
that crosses the Androscoggin river and connects the twin cities of Lewiston and
Auburn. It was originally a railroad bridge during the early years of the
cities and was later converted to a footbridge for the residents of these
two cities. It was a truly magical night when I took this photo. |
This picture was also taken the same
night as the picture above, and it is interesting to me because of the mood it
seems to convey. |
The architects of Lewiston seem to have
a liking for these black iron fences, and so do I... |
This is one of my favorite photos and it
is on my gallery page in a larger size with more detail. It was taken in one of
the old alleys of the city. |
This picture was taken in Kennedy
park after a snow fall. The tree in the foreground has the interesting
pattern of a face on its trunk. It reminds me of one of Picasso's
faces. This photo is also in the Gallery. |
